Hawk Pride Wednesday!

Hi everybody! Today certainly flew by with shortened periods. Enjoy the break if you aren't testing tomorrow, and if you are, good luck! I'll see you on Friday!

Precalc
Today we discussed how to create functions out of word problems. Remember to be careful to properly identify the input (x) and the output (f(x)).

Notes:

HW:
p106 # 47-50, 57, 58, 67-70, 73

Algebra II
We had a quiz today, no homework!

Plane Geo
Today we discussed conditional - or 'if' -> 'then' statements. We covered converses, inverses, and contrapositives. Remember, converses switch, inverses negate, and contrapositives do BOTH!

HW:
p. 80 #2, 6, 19-30 all, 57-62 all

Two for one Tuesday

Hey everyone! I'll give you two pieces of advices for the price of one: (free)
1. Always look both ways before crossing any interstate highway
2. Befriending a squirrel will prove to be a wise decision if you are ever stranded in the woods.

Precalc
Today we reexamined piecewise functions, even/odd functions, and maximum and minimun values.

Notes:

HW:
textbook: p106 #25-46 all, 51-56 all

Algebra II
Today we reviewed for the QUIZ TOMORROW!!! The Solutions for tonight's homework is posted below:

Monday

Week four, here we come! We're starting to get some momentum in this school year, let's keep it up!

Precalc
Today we sunk our teeth into some definitions of local max/mins of functions, and increasing/decreasing/constant intervals.

Notes:

HW:
Library of Functions packet: pg 3, 4, and 5. Fill out all of the information for each function

Thursday!

Howdy y'all, this short week is almost at a close. In just a few ours, we'll be saying "TGIF!"

Precalc
Today we hit a few different topics. We discussed setting functions equal to each other, we discussed piecewise functions, and we even touched on difference quotients. Don't forget to take your time with the difference quotients, and don't be intimidated, it's basically an algebra problem!

Notes:

HW:
p. 94 # 35, 36, 43-59 odd, 71-76

Plane Geometry
Test tomorrow! Make sure you study hard and complete that worksheet! If you want to review the questions from today's station activity, the worksheet and solutions are posted below:

Today is a significant day! We won't have another single digit repeat in the date like today until January 1, 2101. So hold on to the day and do something sweet!

Precalc
Today we began looking at functions and what they are all about.
