Tuesday

Hey everyone, I hope this week is going well for you. It looks like Fall is settling in just fine, so put on a sweater and snuggle up with some math homework!

Precalc
Today we reviewed compositions of functions. Remember, you must consider the domain of the "inner" function of a composed function.

Notes:

Homework:
Graph the "Part B" side of last night's homework.

Test Corrections:
The directions for the corrections are here. Make sure you follow them carefully to receive credit!

Tuesday

Precalc
Today we talked about horizontal stretches and shifts. Remember, f(cx) will stretch/shrink by a factor of 1/c. TEST FRIDAY!!

Notes:

HW:
On your worksheet, do only the odds and don't do Part II.

Algebra II
Today we did some review of the chapter. Don't forget, Test Thursday!

Hawk Pride Wednesday!

Hi everybody! Today certainly flew by with shortened periods. Enjoy the break if you aren't testing tomorrow, and if you are, good luck! I'll see you on Friday!

Precalc
Today we discussed how to create functions out of word problems. Remember to be careful to properly identify the input (x) and the output (f(x)).

Notes:

HW:
p106 # 47-50, 57, 58, 67-70, 73

Algebra II
We had a quiz today, no homework!

Plane Geo
Today we discussed conditional - or 'if' -> 'then' statements. We covered converses, inverses, and contrapositives. Remember, converses switch, inverses negate, and contrapositives do BOTH!

HW:
p. 80 #2, 6, 19-30 all, 57-62 all

Two for one Tuesday

Hey everyone! I'll give you two pieces of advices for the price of one: (free)
1. Always look both ways before crossing any interstate highway
2. Befriending a squirrel will prove to be a wise decision if you are ever stranded in the woods.

Precalc
Today we reexamined piecewise functions, even/odd functions, and maximum and minimun values.

Notes:

HW:

Monday

Week four, here we come! We're starting to get some momentum in this school year, let's keep it up!

Precalc
Today we sunk our teeth into some definitions of local max/mins of functions, and increasing/decreasing/constant intervals.

Notes:

Thursday!

Howdy y'all, this short week is almost at a close. In just a few ours, we'll be saying "TGIF!"

Precalc
Today we hit a few different topics. We discussed setting functions equal to each other, we discussed piecewise functions, and we even touched on difference quotients. Don't forget to take your time with the difference quotients, and don't be intimidated, it's basically an algebra problem!
