Monday Monday Monday!

Our first Monday! Fact of the day: the candy known as "Black Crows" was intented to be named "Black Rose," but the printer misheard the order and wouldn't reprint the wrappers on the candy. So the name stuck!

Precalc
Today we touched on solving equations algebraically and graphically. Don't forget to check for extraneous solutions!

Notes:

HW:
HW # 4 on your schedule

Algebra II
Today we learned about absolute value equations. Don't forget to see if your equation is reasonable looking, and don't forget to find two solutions in absolute value problems.

HW:
HWS#3 --> p15-16 in your packet.

Plane Geo
Today we did some review and took a quiz. Good work so far this year, take the night off!

Thinkin' Thursday

If you had the ability to change one physical rule about the universe, what would it be? Think about it! I would give humans wings.

Precalc
Today we went over equations of lines and their various forms. Remember, when deciphering word problems, find the key information and extract the points in disguise.

Notes:

HW:
HW #3 on your schedule
**Don't forget to study for the quiz tomorrow on P1-P3**

Algebra II
What happens when you cross an equation with an alligator? An inequality! Today we dove into solving inequalities and graphing them. Remember, "and" inequalities connect, and "or" inequalities go out.

***Reminder: Half period quiz on 1.2 and 1.3 tomorrow!***

HW:
***There is a change in the HW***
HWS#2 (page 10 - all of it)
p.45 #13-18, 20-30, 40-46, 50

Plane Geo
Today we entered the world of planes, lines, and points. We leared some good vocabulary and how to name these various geometric components.

HW:
Refer to your ch 1 schedule

Day 2, WE MADE IT!

Way to go everyone, we're two days in now, and still going strong! Before you know it, it'll be Friday.

Precal
Today we worked on the TI's and learned how to calculate intersections and set up a window. If you forget how to do something, feel free to shoot me an email asking for help! mrfritz23@gmail.com

HW:
HW#2 from the schedule

Algebra II:
Today, we looked a little more at order of operations as well as how to set up and solve equations. Make sure you take your time and go step by step.

HW:
HW #2 from the schedule **Don't forget that HWS#1 is page 7.

Plane Geo:
Today we discovered the magic of the coordinate plane. By using equations and ordered pairs, we can discover graphs and relationships between points.

Welcome Back!

Congratulations everyone on getting through day one of school! The air is teeming with excitment over all of the valuable knowledge that awaits you.

***All Classes!***

Part of your first homework assignment is to fill out a survey telling me a little bit about yourself. Just click this link -** survey **- and you'll be whisked away into cyberpace!

Precalc
Today we discussed the Cartesian Plane and the many wonders that it holds. We reviewed some important formulas such as the midpoint and distance formula, and discussed the equations of a circle. Below are links for the course syllabus, the chapter P schedule, and a copy of today's class notes.

Homework:
p.8-11 # 9-14 all, 16-20 even, 45-60 multiples of 3, 68-80 even, 86

Algebra II
Today we scratched the surface and worked on some review order of operations. Don't forget PEMDAS! In case you loose your syllabus, there's a copy posted below. Also, take note of the homework assignment change!

Homework:
p.14-15 # 15-36 all, 38-46 even
Online survey

Plane Geo
Today we took it easy and went over course outlines. If you didn't finish the survey during class, then do that for homework (the link is in the beginning of the post). Also, make sure you complete that textbook worksheet for tomorrow. If you happen to lose the syllabus or Chapter 1 schedule, it's posted below. Have a good day!
